Steps to Set
Up Your New Name Servers
Step 1: To
set up your name servers, go in your control panel, click on the
Virtual Name Server icon. You will see your domain name listed in
the text area for the name server names. It will look like this:
NS.YOURDOMAINNAME.COM and NS2.YOURDOMAINNAME.COM.
Then click the Install button.
Step 2: Register your name servers with the registrar. If
you purchased a new domain name from DomainMasters.NET and are
going to use that domain name for your name server names, give us
a call at 570-643-2038 or send an e-mail to
DomainMasters.NET Support. And we will create and register
your new name servers for you.
Step 3: Go back to your control panel and click on the Add
Domain icon.
Fill out the form and select "New Domain" to register a new domain
name. That will not only set up the domain but also automatically
send out the InterNIC registration for the additional domain.
Step 4: In your control panel, you should now see the name
of the additional domain you have added. Click on the name and hit
the "e-mail me" button. That will e-mail you the IP number, as
well as username and password of the additional domain.
Step 5: To verify that your additional domain has been set
up correctly on the name server, go to your control panel and
click the Virtual Name Server icon. If you do not see the
additional domain name listed there, click on "set up dns for a
domain". Select the domain name in the drop down list box. Hit
Install. |
